I love commentaries and there's only a couple of things I have no time for the silly woke stuff and the reading aloud ones.
Especially for movies where few, if any of the original participants are still around to contribute and contextualize. Other more scholarly commentaries can also be of great value, and obviously some will be better than others, but I really appreciate them tbh. The Goonies one is also pretty good, it's a video commentary with all of the (then) kids and Dick Donner.
Those commentaries alone are worth buying the discs for! Some commentaries can be quite dull, but anyone who thinks they're all like that really should check out literally any commentary featuring Kurt Russell and John Carpenter together.
